Service Description

These virtual one-to-one sessions are ideal for beginners who want to build up their confidence using their machine or getting started on their first project. Conducted over Zoom this can be a single session to address a particular question or technical issue or it can be split into two sessions to give you chance to try out the advice and recommendations and then get further feedback. The first time you use a sewing machine it can be a bit daunting especially if you have never threaded one before. But with a bit of guidance and handholding, after you have done it a couple of times it becomes second nature. So rather than getting frustrated and put off, these sessions aim to get you up and running successful so you can continue your enthusiasm into your first project. Whether you want to start with simple homeware and accessory projects or dive straight into making basic garments, we aim to give you the confidence and knowledge to get started on the right foot. In advance of the session I will ask you to send me further details about what you'd like to get from the session and then I may send you some information about how to prepare and get the most from our time together. If you have questions after the session you will be able to email me to help wrap up any queries you may have.
